Markinch Realty furthers growth in D/R - Tuesday, July 29 2008

Management of Markinch Capital Corp. (MCC) and Markinch Realty Corporation (MRC) is pleased to announce that Markinch Realty is moving forward quickly to take advantage of the continued growth and earnings opportunities in Dominican Republic real estate.

With the recent appointment of Advandtel Dominicana S. A. of Santiago, as hospitality manager for our recently acquired Hotel Casa Cayena, a new image is taking place at the hotel and tourists are taking notice. Advandtel’s makeover is more than cosmetic. Emphasis on strategic marketing to improve room occupancy through direct marketing in the second largest city, Santiago has resulted in a new awareness by local Dominicans of the unique personal service offered by the Casa Cayena, resulting in increased corporate interest in the use of hotel facilities.

As a result of renovations and cosmetic makeover, the Casa Cayena Hotel is in the process of being marketed by Advandtel as a unique, boutique style, corporate offshore educational center for corporations and individuals seeking to further their knowledge of offshore investments in real estate in the Dominican Republic.

Advandtel is achieving this awareness through its hospitality telecommunications division in Santiago by direct marketing to high net worth individuals and corporations wishing to take advantage of the tax advantages of investing in real estate in the Dominican Republic.

Markinch Realty Corporation is pleased to welcome Ms. Alina Reyes from the Advandtel Hospitality Division as part of the Casa Cayena management team.

Ms. Reyes has been commissioned as Administrative Project Coordinator at Hotel Casa Cayena with the objective of building awareness of the hotels unique attributes through tour and travel companies in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

A graduate of New York University in Business Administration, the Albert Merrill School in Human Relations, and Borough of Manhattan Community College in Applied Sciences and Business Management, Ms. Reyes brings a wealth of practical experience to our team.

Previously Ms. Reyes was Administrative Project Coordinator at the Department of Labour, Dominican Republic and Project Coordinator for Spa’s Chain of Hotels RIU – Bavaro.

Markinch Realty management is presently in negotiations on three (3) potential hospitality acquisitions in the Sosua area (one with significant beachfront exposure) that would further the ability to satisfy the growing demand for offshore educational service facilities that also provide carefree vacation enjoyment for its guests.

The hospitality acquisitions presently under negotiation will also prove of great interest to our recently acquired BVIH Club Membership group, whereby existing club members are automatically positioned to add to their realty portfolios or “trade up” to the new properties presently under consideration. Through the unique BVIH club membership concept, existing members are entitled to developer discounts from market price of any newly acquired realty developments within BVIH before that product is offered to the general public.

Management has been very fortunate in attracting several, highly recognized individuals to its Advisory Board with disciplines in various areas of expertise including; travel, construction, architecture and landscaping.

Markinch Capital management is presently in discussions with several candidates to fulfill the recently vacated position of President of Markinch Realty Corporation, who will provide the knowledge and vision to move the company forward in its quest to maximize returns for its shareholders.
