The MRC corporate structure has three main components:
- MRC Management
- MRC Advisory Board
- Business Vacations International Holdings Ltd. (BVIH)
The Management of MRC is comprised of a diverse and multi-disciplined group of corporate executives, collectively experienced in virtually all aspects of real estate development and operations. Each member of the corporate team brings an average of 20 years of effective productivity in his specialty, much of which has been commercial realty focused. Management bios can be seen below.
The Advisory Board positions comprise members from all the disciplines that can be instrumental in forging a profitable future for MRC. Advisory Board members started as MRC shareholders or BVIH Club Members and have offered their experience and expertise to the organization to help it grow and keep MRC on the cutting edge.
We currently have representatives experienced in many fields but are constantly looking to improve in any way possible. If you feel that you could contribute your skills to the organization please join us as a Shareholder or Club Member or both and we will reward your input.
Business Vacations International Holdings Ltd. (BVIH) The acquisition of BVIH (Business Vacations International Holdings Inc.) of the Turks & Caicos Islands by MRC has resulted in an established platform for the development and enhancement of fractional ownership Club Memberships through the "BVIH Club" system.

Mr. Elbourne has had a long and distinguished career in the Canadian securities industry. He has held positions of Registered Representative for Nesbitt, Thomson (1968-1971); Resident Manager and Director, Deacon Hodgson (1971 -1981); Registered Representative for Burns Fry, Yorkton and St. Lawrence Securities (1982-1986); President and C.E.O of C.J. Elbourne Securities Inc. (1987-2000). Mr. Elbourne obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Diploma of Management Sciences, and an M.B.A all from the University of Ottawa. He also completed many industry science related courses including the Canadian Securities Course, the NYSE Securities examination, the New York Institute of Finance (Securities Analysis Course), Partner Director Officers Qualifying Examinations, Qualifying Examinations for Registered Options Principal (ROP), Canadian Options Course and Registered Insurance Agent.
In 1986, Mr. Elbourne founded Tax Advantages Inc. (TAI), a Mutual Fund Dealer, registered with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). As President of TAI from 1986 to 1993, Mr. Elbourne rapidly expanded the business to include; 83 Registered sales representatives in four provinces across Canada, including. Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver; 18,000 new clients; over $200,000,000 in mutual fund sales, primarily with MacKenzie, Trimark and Templeton Funds, including $80,000,000 in real estate syndication sales. In 1986, Mr. Elbourne established Greentree Insurance Agency Ltd., an insurance agency, as part of the operations of TAI.
Mr. Elbourne devotes his time to the Markinch Group of Companies, concentrating on the expansion of the companies as a dominant force in real estate, financial services and natural resources.
J. Douglas Elliott

Mr. Elliott is a graduate from Harvard and Osgoode Hall; he has been involved for many years in the practice of law, real estate development and syndications. After law school, Mr. Elliott was an Associate with Walker, Poole, Milligan, Barristers & Solicitors in Toronto; specializing in real estate development, financing, syndication and securities. In 1981, Mr. Elliott left the practice of law to join a client as a Senior Vice President, Acquisitions, Development and Syndications, Quotine Developments and PEC Properties specializing in MURBs and medical building developments.
From 1982 to 1984, Mr. Elliott was Senior Vice President, Acquisitions, Development and Syndications, Venture Inns of Canada (Hotel Division); and Senior Vice President; Acquisitions, Development and Syndications, Wellington Long Term Health Care (Retirement Home/Nursing Home Division); Vice President Development and Vice President Construction were direct reports.
In 1984, Mr. Elliott established Elliott & Associates Inc., a Toronto based corporate finance firm specializing in the junior capital markets and providing a wide range of financial and advisory services, including financing, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and going-public transactions.
JoAnne Williams

Vice-President, Administration - Business Vacations Inc. (BVI).
Mrs. Williams has had a long and successful career in the administration field. Since the early 1990's Mrs. Williams earned over 15 certificates in various business computer applications, which she implements in the day to day running of the administration department of the Markinch Group of Companies. From 1994 until 2001 Mrs. Williams was the Personal Executive Assistant to the President of Battery Plus Inc. She assisted in establishing over 90 stores province wide, dealing with the financial aspects, to the everyday daily running of the Corporate Head Office. In 2004 Mrs. Williams was recruited by Markinch Capital Corporation, where she has proven her knowledge of running a successful administration department, earning the promotion to Manager - Administration. As Vice-President - Administration for BVI, Mrs. Williams's main focus is the administration of the internet system serving the requirements of BVIH Group Ownership members.
Advisory Board
Alina Reyes
Project Coordinator – Hotel Casa Cayena
A graduate of New York University in Business Administration, the Albert Merrill School in Human Relations, and Borough of Manhattan Community College in Applied Sciences and Business Management, Ms. Reyes brings a wealth of practical experience to the BVIH team.
Previously Ms. Reyes was Administrative Project Coordinator at the Department of Labour, Dominican Republic and Project Coordinator for Spa’s Chain of Hotels RIU – Bavaro.
Alina’s responsibilities as Administrative Project Coordinator at MRC’s Hotel Casa Cayena in the Dominican Republic include building awareness of the hotels’ unique attributes through tour and travel operators in the U.S., Canada, South America and Europe.
Ms. Reyes will also manage the application and development of the newly installed CRM system at the hotel with existing and new BVIH Club Members, in order to provide addition services to those special guests. |
